Auditioning

Through stories, photos, films, and relics, I am capturing the human essence of my mother, who died when I was three years old. The goal has been to unpack the Godlike image of her I was raised believing, and to harness the maternal energy I have felt missing my whole life.

Collected from behind the lens, Auditioning documents the transformative experience of meeting a long deceased mother as an adult, through others’ stories of her.

Blue Begonias

Inspired by my iridescent and evergreen older sister, Blue Begonias is a two and three dimensional collection of paintings, photographs, and fashion design. Each material represents the process of creating a new, more beautiful and real image of the relationship we share.

Working in tandem, Auditioning and Blue Begonias is a process of reaching in to reach out.
